Mys tasks and achievements include the following:
1- Leading the overall M&E strategy and implementation of related activities within the programme and with partners, plus providing timely and relevant information to the NDC management.
2- Reviewed the current Access-based Project Management Information System (PMIS) and recommended modifications / improvements to ensure its efficient and effective implementation. Designed the forms that are included in the system, the type of data needed to be entered, designed the formats of the reports generated automatically from the system with the fields required in each report. Gave orientation to the relevant staff on managing the system and data entry. Prepared a date entry guide as a reference for the staff. The system is now ready and running in its new version.
3- Reviewed the monitoring tools in use and recommended modifications to the reports and designed new reports as needed by our monitoring requirements. Those include quarterly progress report formats and completion report formats designed according to the needs of the different programmes.
4- Expanded the use of the participatory tool for impact monitoring (Community Score Cards, CSC) to a larger number of partner NGOs. CSC are used to track the changes perceived by the beneficiaries themselves from the implementation of the projects’ activities as well as their level of satisfaction from the services provided by the NGOs.
5- Contribute to the development of the M&E section of the Annual Work Plan, prepare detailed M&E budget. Participate in the conceptualization of project proposals to different donors with special emphasis on drafting M&E sections
6- Participated in the Strategic Planning for the Centre

2008 - 2009

My duties included the following:

1- Served as a technical resource to field offices on monitoring and evaluation. My role involved ensuring that WV in the West Bank and Gaza programs are supported by appropriate Monitoring & Evaluation systems with the aid of the projects log frames and the Result Chain;
2- Revised the Logical Framework of the different Area Development Program from a Monitoring and Evaluation point of view and gave recommendations for refinement.
3- Identified indicators for the proper monitoring and evaluation and ddeveloped tools and strategies as required to effectively monitor and evaluate the identified indicators
4- Integrating and presenting M&E data to the Programs Director and Area Development Program managers on the performance of projects and programs for the purpose of decision making.
5- Organizing and coordinating the process of conducting baselines for projects and programs
6- Conduct monitoring visits to ensure the proper imlementation of on-going projects and collect monitoring data/information on the projects.

My duties and achievements included the following:

i) Monitoring the socio-economic developments in the West Bank
• Following, summarizing and filing the activities and publications regarding the socio-economic situation of the relevant organizations working in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip
• Establishing and developing a network of interlocutors and following-up the agenda of the humanitarian actors in the West Bank.

ii) Conducting specific assessments of the economic security of people in the West Bank
• Research and write economic situation analysis and special assessment studies for advocacy informing the Delegation about the consequences of movement restriction and land access problems on the livelihood of Palestinian communities, providing case studies, Ex: ‘Consequences of Movement Restrictions: A Case Study for the Enclaved Villages of Deir Ballut, Rafat and Az Zawiya’, ‘The Effect of the West Bank Barrier on the Productivity of Olive Trees in the Northern West Bank: A Case Study in the Village of Akkaba’, ‘Dislocation of the Al Haddidya Bedouins. Some figures to put things into perspective’.
• Contributed to the implementation of Household Economy Assessment for the 2006 Humanitarian Crisis. In the West Bank, the assessment was carried out in 4 districts both in the urban and rural areas. The assessment used the Household Economy Approach (HEA). It relied on discussions with focus groups consisting of village leaders and detailed interviews with members of the households themselves as well as a variety of standard Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques

iii) Planning, implementing, and documenting project/programme impact assessments
• Design, implementation, analysis and writing of Impact Evaluation of Livelihood Support and Cash for Work projects.
• Develop information gathering tools, databases and processing data. Write guidelines and assist field operations to implement surveys. Contribute during the proposal writing phase in identifying the indicators to measure the achievements of projects.
• Planning, designing and conducting programme assessments using the information of the individual project assessments

iv) Agro-economic consulting
• Advising and supporting the delegates and field officers in the West Bank in addressing agro-economic questions; conducting research to answer questions that are relevant to the department’s projects
• Developing information that help the delegation substantiate its interventions related to agriculture
• Developed an agricultural calendar to guide delegates and field officers in planning for agricultural projects and in negotiations regarding the needs for farmers to access the seam zone

• Investigative research to gather information to produce an agribusiness project proposal for West Bank and Gaza.
• Drafted technical pieces, including background sections on Agribusiness in West Bank and Gaza.
• Interviewed agriculture and trade officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, local NGO's and trade promotion representatives to engage their collaboration.
• Identified qualified consultants to be included on the proposal with experience in agriculture, trade, and consulting on development projects in the West Bank and Gaza.
